Our Methodology
We believe that if you 'fail to prepare'... you are really 'preparing to fail'!
Perhaps surprisingly, a lot of website design work begins with good old fashioned pencil and paper. It is pretty important to map out the content of a site and draw up a pathway that will assist viewers to navigate their way through the site's content.
Ideally any images or graphics being deployed should be identified and if necessary processed / optimised.
It's then important to assess the type and quantity of the information that will form the 'meat' of the site. There's an old expression... "content is king". This is never more true than when talking about websites.
Applying the principles...
Although clients can often visualise how they would like their site to appear, they very often approach the job 'back-to-front' - trying to fit new content into an existing design used by someone else. Generally this is not an ideal way to proceed.
At Geisler Web Design we like to engage with clients initially to make certain we have a broad idea of what they wish their site to achieve and any elements of presentation they feel are important to them.
Once we have the basic information and all the required copy is at hand, we construct a draft site-framework, which we demonstrate in a client area on the webbery.co.uk domain. This allows clients to advise us of any major or fundamental alterations or additions they might require in the base design.
When the draft page design is agreed, we complete construction of the site.
